Introducing My Reports, your personalized traveler information tool
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is pleased to announce the launch of My Reports, the latest traveler information tool available on the KYTC 511 Website. My Reports personalizes your 511 experience by letting you see traffic reports that are relevant to the highways you travel most often.
My Reports lets you:
Using My Reports is simple. Just visit our Full Feature 511 Website, click on the "Show List Views" button above the map legend, then enter the beginning and ending locations of the route you wish to travel. You can even right-click on the map to choose your locations. My Reports will generate a customized report for your chosen route that includes traffic reports that affect your route, driving directions and estimated travel time.
My Reports even lets you save your routes for easy future reference. To save routes, simply create a free My Reports account by clicking the "Save this Route" link in a Route Report, or the "Start here" link in the box at the top of the screen.*
With My Reports, you can quickly see if there is any roadwork, accidents, or other traffic reports that could affect your daily commute, trip to the grocery store, or anywhere else you want to go.
Signing Up For Alerts
Kentucky's direct messaging feature allows users with a My Reports account to sign up to receive text messages and/or emails alerting them to incidents and delays along their saved routes. Users can select to receive alerts based on time of day, day of the week, and the urgency of the report. To sign up for alerts, log in to your My Reports account. From the "My Reports" tab, click the blue "Want to get alerts for your route?" banner.
To schedule an alert, click the gray bell to the left of the name of the route you'd like to set an alert for. Select the days of the week and time of day you'd like to get alerts for, then select either email alerts, text alerts, or both, and hit "Save."
Once alerts are active for your saved route, the bell next to the route name will turn yellow, and you'll begin receiving your reports automatically. You can disable alerts for a route at any time by clicking a yellow bell and turning it gray.
* Learn more about creating routes and My Reports accounts on the My Reports help page, which is also accessible by clicking the "Need Help?" link at the bottom of every My Reports page.
